Digital Hearing Aids

Instrument Technology & Styling

There are TWO types of DIGITAL Hearing Instrument:

  • Non-Programmable
  • Programmable

Non-Programmable

Our expert Tests establish you're "Prescription" and we take "Impressions" of your ear/s. Both are then sent to the Laboratories and used to design a suitable Hearing Instrument. A "Volume Control" is usually provided. Expect to get around 5 years of good use from a Non-Programmable Instrument (because the prescription/circuit is "fixed" like glasses). This type of Digital Instrument is the least expensive from £299 from SCOTIA HEARING. other retailers may charge 3 times that price or not even mention them! We give YOU the choice!

Programmable

We take Impressions of your ear/s and the Instrument is manufactured to fit. The Instrument is then PROGRAMMED via a computer. As your prescription changes over the years, the Instrument can be re-programmed as your needs change. Programmable Instruments can also be Automatic and have extra features such as multi-memories, directional microphones, anti-feedback measures and noise management systems. You hear more clearly in a variety of situations, with the minimum of effort.

No One Need Know!

There are many different sizes of aid. The day of the bulky hearing aid has gone and no-one need know that you wear an instrument. There are three In-The-Ear (ITE) styles:
